NYPL during COVID pandemic
Dear Members of Print Council,
I write to let you know that while the New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building remains closed to the public, Wallach Division staff is back onsite Monday through Friday and able to assist with virtual reference queries related to material in its five collections.
We are also now accepting appointments for consultations via Google Meet. To schedule an appointment, please email one of the Wallach Division’s specific collection units:
firstname.lastname@example.org [includes Spencer Collection]
Please be aware that correspondence is generally answered in order of receipt. We are making every effort to respond to your question within 3 business days, but some requests may take longer.
Many resources are also accessible remotely. The Library’s Digital Collections Portal features digitized material from our collections. The Library’s Articles and Databases page provides expanded access to many online databases with a Library card. Our growing list of subject-based research guides is continually updated. More information about remote access is available here.
I hope you find this information helpful and that you can avail yourselves of our many varied resources.
With kind regards,
