Statement of Support for the NEA, NEH, and IMLS

The Print Council of America stands in support of preserving the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Many of our 267 members work for nonprofit organizations that rely on crucial funding from these federal agencies. As professional curators, conservators, educators, and artists, we understand that our cultural institutions represent humanity’s most potent, yet vulnerable, resources. The NEA, NEH, and IMLS, help us in countless ways to carry out our mission to protect, study, and celebrate the nation’s artistic achievements. Our exhibitions, publications, lectures, and online initiatives reach millions of people around this country and around the world. The Print Council of America urges the U.S. Congress to continue funding these critical agencies.
